EASY RICE PUDDING 
1/2 c. uncooked rice
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
4 c. milk
Ground nutmeg

Turn oven to 300 degrees. Butter baking dish. Wash 1/2 cup rice in a bowl of water. Then put rice in a sieve and wash it under running water to remove the loose starch. Drain. Place rice, salt, sugar, and milk in a baking dish. Top with nutmeg and bake in a very slow oven for 3 hours. Turn the brown top under every 20 minutes with a fork for the first 2 hours. Serve hot or cold.
