HASH BROWN CASSEROLE 
1 (2 lb.) bag frozen hash browns, thawed
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cheddar cheese, shredded
1 tbsp. salt
1 pt. sour cream
Dash of garlic salt
1/2 c. onion, chopped (optional)

TOPPING:

1/4 c. butter, melted
2 c. corn flakes, crushed

Mix all ingredients together (except topping) and place in a greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Mix the topping ingredients together and spread on top. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 350 degrees. Serves 8 to 10. Makes a wonderful pot luck contribution.
