LAZY DAISY OATMEAL CAKE 
1 c. quick or uncooked oats
1/2 c. butter
1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt

Pour boiling water over oats. Cover and let stand 20 minutes. Beat butter until creamy. Add sugars gradually. Beat until fluffy. Blend vanilla, eggs and add to oats mixture. Add remaining ingredients, mixing well. Pour into well greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 30-35 minutes at 350 degrees.

FROSTING FOR LAZY DAISY CAKE:

1/4 c. melted butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
3/4 c. shredded or flaked coconut

Combine and spread evenly over cake. Broil until bubbly. May be served hot or cold.
