GERMAN BURGUNDY CHICKEN 
1/2 lb. bacon
1 onion, sliced thin
4 c. sliced mushrooms
1 chicken, cut into 8 pieces
3 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. brandy
1 c. burgundy wine
3 bay leaves
2 tbsp. chopped parsley
1/4 tsp. thyme
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Lightly saute bacon, onion and mushrooms together; set aside. Brown chicken in butter. Place brown chicken in baking dish. Sprinkle with flour, parsley, thyme, salt, pepper and nutmeg.

Add wine, brandy and bay leaf to chicken and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Top chicken with bacon, onions and mushrooms. Bake 20 minutes more. Good with new red potatoes.
