GLAZED BEETS 
1 can sliced beets, drained
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour or 2 tsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. water
Pepper

Put beets in bowl, melt butter in a 2 quart saucepan, add flour to butter, add vinegar, sugar and water to butter and flour. Cook slowly until thick. Pour over beets. Serve hot or cold.
