DUTCH SPLIT PEA SOUP | |
1 ham bone 3 c. ham pieces 1 1/2 c. split peas 1 minced onion 6 to 8 c. water 3 celery stalks minced 2 diced carrots 1 bay leaf 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 can Campbells pea soup Coverham bone and pieces with water. Add peas, onion, celery, bay leaf, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer 2 hours. Add carrots and can of Campbells pea soup. Simmer 30 minutes stirring occasionally. Add more salt if necessary. Makes 8 dinner servings. |
