WHOLE WHEAT QUICK BREAD | |
2 c. whole wheat flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 lg. egg 2 c. buttermilk 1 1/2 tbsp. butter, melted 1/2 c. chopped walnuts 3 tbsp. light molasses 1/2 c. dark seedless raisins Grease 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix first 4 dry ingredients. Beat egg in large bowl. Stir in buttermilk, molasses and butter. Then stir in flour mixture. Mix in nuts and raisins. Put in prepared pan and bake 50 to 60 minutes or until well brown. Remove from oven and place on wire rack to cool. |
