WHOLE WHEAT QUICK BREAD | |
2 c. whole wheat flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1 egg, beaten 1 3/4 c. buttermilk 1/4 c. honey 1/4 c. melted butter 1/2 c. raisins or walnuts or both Or 1 cup regular milk with 2 teaspoons vinegar added, let sit 5 minutes. Combine dry ingredients. Combine egg, buttermilk, honey, and butter. Add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened. Stir in nuts or raisins. Pour into 9x5x3 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 to 60 minutes. This is quick and easy! |
