EASY ITALIAN TOMATO SAUCE 
3 tbsp. olive oil
2 med. onions, chopped
1 med. green pepper, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 tbsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste
1 can (1 lb. 12 oz.) tomatoes
1 tsp. oregano
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese

Heat oil; saute onion, pepper and garlic in oil until tender. Add all ingredients except cheese. Simmer 1/2 hour, stirring occasionally. Stir in cheese before serving. Average servings 6 to 8.

MEAT VARIATION:

Saute 1/2 pound ground beef with onions, peppers, garlic. Proceed with recipe as above.
