NANCY SIDON'S CHEESE CAKE
COOKIES
 
2/3 c. butter
2/3 c. brown sugar
2 c. flour
1 c. chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, pecans)
2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
2 eggs
4 tbsp. milk
2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. granulated sugar

Cream butter and brown sugar together until light and fluffy. Add flour and nuts and blend until mixture resembles crumbs. Set aside 1 cup. Press remaining mixture into 10x13 inch pan or two 8-inch pans and bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.

Combine granulated sugar and cheese and beat until smooth. Add egg, milk, lemon juice and vanilla and beat well. Spread over baked crust. Sprinkle reserved crumbs over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Cool, then cut into bars. Chill.
