SALT BREAD DOUGH | |
4 c. flour 1 c. salt 1 1/2 c. water Mix all ingredients. Roll out. Shape into ornaments or make a woven bread basket. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes for small thin ornaments. Bake at 300 to 325 degrees for 1 hour or more, for ornaments 1/2 to 2 inches thick. For bread baskets, before placing in oven, cover with beaten egg for golden brown color. Afterwards items may be printed, then varnished so they last longer. |
