GERMAN APPLE CAKE | |
2 eggs 2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. chopped pecans 2 c. sifted self-rising flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 c. oil 2 c. sugar 4 c. sliced apples, thin Sift dry ingredients together. By hand, mix in rest of ingredients. Spread in 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes (gets slightly crispy on top). ICING: 8 oz. cream cheese 1 tsp. vanilla 3 tbsp. melted butter 2 c. powdered sugar Blend in mixer above and then spread on top of cooled cake. |
