GERMAN APPLE CAKE 
2 lg. eggs
1 c. oil
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. water
2 c. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
4 c. peeled and thinly sliced apples

Beat eggs with oil until foamy. Add sugar, baking soda dissolved in water, flour, cinnamon and salt. Batter will be quite thick. Add nuts and apples. Bake at 350 degrees in greased 9 x 13 pan for 50 - 60 minutes.

ICING:

1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 1/2 tbsp. melted butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. powdered sugar
