HONEY BREAD | |
12 c. flour 5 tsp. salt 4 tbsp. soft butter 1 c. honey 2 c. rolled oats 4 c. boiling water 4 pkgs. dry yeast 2/3 c. lukewarm water Pour boiling water over rolled oats and let stand until warm (1 hour). Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water and let stand 5 minutes. Add salt, butter and honey to soaked oats. Add yeast mixture. Add flour. Knead and let raise. Bake at 325 degrees for 50 minutes. Yield: 4 loaves. |
