HAM STUFFED PEPPERS 
6 lg. green peppers
1/4 c. finely chopped green pepper
1 sm. onion, finely chopped
4 c. ham, chopped
6 slices American cheese, diced
10 to 15 slices stale bread, torn into sm. pieces
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
Canned tomatoes
Salt and pepper to taste

Cut tops off peppers and remove seeds. Wash and drain. Mix rest of ingredients together, using enough tomatoes and juice to moisten bread. Stuff into peppers and place in a baking dish. Put small amount of water or tomato juice in bottom of dish (just enough to cover bottom). Cover and bake in oven at 375 degrees for 1 hour or until peppers are tender.

Note: The amount of bread you use depends on the size of your peppers.
