HONEY NUT CHIP COOKIES 
1/2 c. shortening (1/2 butter)
1/2 c. chunky "honey nut" peanut butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. mini chocolate chips

Mix shortening, butters, sugars, and egg thoroughly. Blend all dry ingredients (except chips) in one bowl; stir into shortening mixture. Add chips. Chill. Heat oven to 375 degrees.

Roll into 1 1/4 inch balls and place 3 inch apart on lightly greased sheet. Flatten with fork dipped in flour. Bake 10 to 12 minutes (makes 3 dozen.)
