SWEDISH SHORTBREAD COOKIES | |
Mix: 1 c. shortening 1/2 c. sugar 2 c. flour 2 egg yolks 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla Beat two egg whites until frothy. Roll dough into small balls, dip in egg whites. Bake on well greased (or Pam) cookie sheet at 300 degrees until lightly browned. May be decorated, tinted, center depressed and filled with jam before serving, rolled in nuts, etc. Yield: 55-60. |
