FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE 
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 egg
1 can fruit cocktail
1/2 c. nuts
1/2 c. brown sugar
Ice cream (optional)

Put first four ingredients into a 8 x 8 inch or 9 x 9 inch pan. Beat egg and add to ingredients in the pan. Pour in the fruit cocktail and stir. Sprinkle the brown sugar on top and then the nuts. Bake 30-40 minutes at 325 degrees. Serve with ice cream, while still warm.
