HARD CANDY 
1 c. water
3 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/4 c. white sugar

Cook until it reaches 300 degrees. Stir with wooden spoon. Remove from heat and add 1 teaspoon wintergreen oil (and food coloring, if desired). Pour onto powdered sugar in strips. Set in freezer or outside to cool.
