DIG DEEP SALAD 
1 head shredded lettuce
1 chopped Spanish onion
1 c. chopped celery
1 green pepper, chopped
2 pkg. frozen peas, rinsed under cold water
1 pt. mayonnaise
2 tsp. sugar
Romano cheese
5 hard-boiled eggs
1/2 lb. crumbled bacon
2 fresh tomatoes

Layer vegetable ingredients in large glass bowl. Spread 1 pint mayonnaise over all. Sprinkle with 2 teaspoons sugar. Then sprinkle with Romano cheese. Cover tightly with Saran Wrap and refrigerate overnight. Next day, slice tomatoes and 5 hard-boiled eggs over salad. Sprinkle with crumbled bacon.
