PEGGY'S FRENCH LOAF 
1 loaf French bread
1 lb. ground beef, browned
Diced onion
Salt, pepper, oregano
1 can Cheddar cheese soup
1 sm. can stewed tomatoes
1 sm. can tomato sauce (if desired)
Grated Mozzarella cheese

Brown beef, onion and seasonings, drain. Add soup, mushrooms and tomatoes. Simmer to cook down if too juicy. Cut French loaf, dig out bread and add to ground beef mixture. Put mixture in loaf and bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Top with Mozzarella cheese and melt. Put on top of loaf for last 3-5 minutes. Serves 6-8.
