TOFFEE COOKIES 
1/2 lb. salty butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg yolk (some egg white)
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar - add yolk - add flour, cinnamon and vanilla. Mix well. Flatten dough on thinly buttered cookie sheet. Moisten the top with egg white. Sprinkle with 1/4 pound pecans (chopped). Bake 30-35 minutes at 325 degrees - cut while hot (in squares).
