MOLASSES WALNUT COOKIES 
3/4 c. cooking oil
1 c. sugar
4 tbsp. molasses
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. walnuts, chopped

Preheat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, cream (by hand) oil, sugar, molasses and egg. In another bowl, mix the flour, cinnamon, soda, ginger, cloves and salt. Add the flour mixture to the molasses mixture and blend well. Add chopped walnuts. Roll dough in a ball the size of a walnut and flatten thin on a greased cookie sheet.

Bake in a moderate oven until crispy approximately 10 minutes.
