2 med. cucumbers
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sour cream
1/4 tsp. sugar
2 tbsp. vinegar
1/8 tsp. black pepper

Peel and thinly slice cucumbers. Add onion slices. Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon salt. Let stand 10 minutes and press out liquid. Mix sour cream, rest of salt, vinegar, sugar and black pepper. Pour over cukes and onions. Chill 2 hours or more.
