TOP OF STOVE MEATLESS PASTA 
1/2 tbsp. oil
1 tsp. butter
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1 c. canned tomatoes, chopped & drained
1/2 c. dry macaroni
1 1/2 c. hot water
Salt & pepper to taste

In medium saucepan over medium heat, saute onion, garlic and green pepper in the 1/2 tablespoon of oil and the 1 teaspoon of butter until transparent. Add the tomatoes, macaroni and hot water. Salt and pepper. Cover and cook the length of time it takes the macaroni as directed on macaroni package, stirring occasionally. Adding more hot water if needed. Serves 2.
