DEEP DISH APPLE PIE 
2 tsp. liquid sweetener
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
4 med. sized apples, sliced
1 c. sifted cake flour
1 tsp. salt
1/3 c. butter
1/3 c. cold water

Combine cornstarch, liquid sweetener, salt, lemon rind, lemon juice, nutmeg, cinnamon, and apple slices. Place in a 9 inch deep dish pie plate or comparable sized baking dish. Combine flour and salt. Cut in butter until consistency of corn meal. Blend in water. roll out as for a pie crust and place on top of apple filling. Bake in hot oven at 425 degrees about 35 minutes until crust is brown.

Amount: 1 (9 inch) pie equals 8 servings. Exchange: 1/8 pie equals 1 bread and 1 1/2 fat. Calories: 1/8 pie equals 132.
