DEEP DISH APPLE PIE 
15 sliced & pared apples
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tbsp. quick cooking tapioca
2 tbsp. butter
Pastry for 1 pie crust

Combine apples, sugar, salt and tapioca. Turn into a casserole (or 8 inch square baking dish) and dot with butter. Cover with pie crust (can use pastry strips for top of pie, if desired). Bake at 425 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
