DELUXE CHEESY POTATOES 
1 pkg. hash browns
4 c. HOT water
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 c. cream of chicken soup
1/2 c. corn flakes, crushed
2/3 c. milk
1/2 c. sour cream
1/4 c. chopped onions
1/4 c. melted butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper

Cover potatoes with hot water in bowl. Let stand uncovered for 15 minutes. Drain. Stir in remaining ingredients except cereal. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Spread mixture firmly and evenly in ungreased 2 quart casserole dish. Sprinkle with cereal. Bake uncovered until golden brown, 50 minutes.
