GERMAN BEEF STEW | |
3 lb. beef cubes 3 lg. cans tomato sauce (48 oz. each) 3 cans stewed tomatoes (squash w/hands) 3 tomato sauce cans of water 1 tsp. salt 3/4 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. thyme 1 tbsp. sugar 2 lb. carrots, chunked 3 lb. potatoes, cubed 2 lg. onions, chunked 6 stalks celery, sliced Brown beef in small amount of oil. Add tomato sauce, tomatoes, water and seasonings; bring to boil and simmer 1 1/2 hours. Then add vegetables and simmer for another hour. |
