DATE CREAM PIE 
3 c. milk
3 tbsp. sugar
3 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch
2 egg yolks
1/4 lb. dates, chopped
2 tbsp. butter
2 caps full of vanilla

Place first 5 ingredients in a saucepan; cook until thick and bubbly; then add 2 tablespoons butter and 2 caps full of vanilla. Pour into cooked pie shell and refrigerate. Makes 1 pie.
