CINNAMON KNOTS OR PLUCKET ROLLS | |
1 pkg. yeast 1/4 c. warm water 1 c. scalded milk 3 eggs, beaten 1/3 c. sugar 1/3 c. melted butter 1/2 tsp. salt 4 c. flour 1 cube butter (1/2 c.) 1 1/2 c. sugar 3/4 c. chopped walnuts 3 tsp. cinnamon Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add sugar, butter and salt to scalded milk. When milk is lukewarm, add yeast, eggs and flour. Beat thoroughly. Cover and let rise until double. Stir down and let rise again. Then take round teaspoon of dough and dip in melted butter, then into a mixture of sugar, nuts and cinnamon. Pile balls loosely in ungreased angel food pan. Let rise 30 minutes. Then bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Invert pan on plate while very warm. |
