SPAGHETTI ALLA CARBONARA 
1 lb. linguine
2 egg yolks
2 whole eggs
8 slices bacon, diced
1/2 c. heavy cream
1/2 stick butter, creamed
1 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 tsp. red pepper (opt.)

Heat casserole or Pyrex bowl bit enough to hold all ingredients in a 200 degree oven. Meanwhile, beat eggs and egg yolks together. Add half the cheese. Mix well and set aside.

Brown and cook bacon, add spaghetti to boiling water. When bacon is done, pour off fat, leaving a little if desired. Add cream and pepper to bacon, warm in frying pan. Remove cooked spaghetti; drain. Add butter to coat well, then bacon mixture, coat well. Then eggs; coat well. Serve.
