ACTUAL MAC SAUCE IN 1969 MC D'S
MANAGER'S HANDBOOK

1/4 cup KRAFT Miracle Whip
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 heaping tablespoons WISHBONE deluxe French
salad dressing (the orange stuff)
1/2 tablespoon HEINZ sweet relish
2 heaping teaspoons VLASIC dill pickle relish (Heinz
dill relish also works)
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon dried, minced onion
1 teaspoon white vinegar
1 teaspoon ketchup
1/8 teaspoon salt

Mix everything very well in a small container. There better be no streaks! Microwave 25 seconds, and stir well again. Cover, and refrigerate at LEAST 1 hour before using (to allow all of the flavors to "meld").

Makes nearly 1 cup...enough for about 8 Big Macs.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.

To the original poster, I'm curious as to why there would be a recipe to make 1 cup of the sauce (enough for 8 Big Macs). Do you know?

la71009 the microwave also went by a different name also, it was called a "Radar Range" and it was developed after WWII in 1946.

I don't believe this is the ACTUAL recipe. McDonald's managers would literally get into a SHOUTING MATCH with you in the store if you even utter the word "MICROWAVE" - their employees are all TRAINED to say, we don't use MICROWAVES, we use "QUEUING OVENS".. Using the word Microwave at McD's would get you FIRED on the spot! I find it hard to believe they would refer to microwaves in their store manual...
