VANILLA - KIPFERL 
3 1/3 c. flour
3 oz. pkg. ground almonds
1 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
2 egg yolks

SUGAR MIXTURE:

1 c. sifted confectioners' sugar
1 pkg. vanilla zucker (vanilla sugar, found in baking/gourmet section)

Combine all of the above except sugar mixture on pastry sheet, putting yolks in last (make a little hole in the middle of ingredients to put yolks in). Work into a dough. After getting dough into one big mound, let stand for 5 minutes.

Cut small pieces from mound of dough. Put into rolls 1/4 inch thick and then shape into little horseshoes. Put onto greased cookie sheet; bake at 350 for 15 minutes.

Put 1 cup sifted confectioners' sugar and 1 package of vanilla zucker mixed together on a plate. When cookies are out of the oven but still hot roll them in the sugar mixture.

(When making dough, if it is too dry, add a little more butter or a couple drops of milk.)
