VERMICELLI AND RICE 
1/4 box vermicelli
1 tbsp. Crisco
2 c. white rice, soaked in hot water at least 20 minutes

Brown vermicelli in Crisco. Add 3 cups water and turn off.

SAUCE:

1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. allspice
Salt & pepper to taste

Mix above ingredients together and cook about 15 minutes. Add 1 large can of peas.

Reheat vermicelli and water. Drain rice and add to boiling vermicelli. Cover and cook 10 minutes. Add 2 pats of butter and mix until butter is melted. Transfer mixture into large bowl and add sauce; mix well.
