LEVI'S BBQ SAUCE | |
When the recipe tells you to drink beer, you know it has to be good! 1/2 red onion, minced 3 tbsp. minced garlic 2 tbsp. olive oil 12 oz. jar chili sauce 2 tbsp. red wine vinegar 4 oz. liquid smoke (optional) 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 3 tbsp. coarsely ground pepper 1 tbsp. chipotle Tabasco sauce 1 tsp. cayenne pepper 1 tsp. sea salt 1 tbsp. crushed oregano 2 tbsp. sugar 1/2 (12 oz.) can beer 6 oz. water 1 tbsp. crushed red pepper First open a beer and drink half of it (use the other half in the sauce). In a medium saucepan sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until translucent. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir well. Simmer over low heat for 20 minutes, stirring often.
