STICKY CHICKEN | |
3 lb. chicken wings or thighs (about 18 wings) 1/4 c. soy sauce 1 tbsp. prepared mustard 2 tbsp. honey 1 sm. clove garlic, crushed 8 oz. catsup or tomato sauce 1/4 tsp. Italian herbs, crushed 1/8 tsp. ground pepper 1/3 c. fruit juice (pineapple, apple or water) Thoroughly wash chicken in cold water and remove wing tips. Dejoint each into two pieces if you like. Place in a single layer on boiler pan. Precook under broiler 10 minutes. Turn pieces over broil another 5 minutes. Remove from oven and drain off aH pp O O A Nd honey in small saucepan. Cook stirring until bubbles. Remove from heat. Spoon prepared sauce over chicken, coating all pieces. Cover loosely with aluminum foil. Bake in 350 degree oven approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes; until chicken is very tender and thick sticky sauce clings to pieces. Stir occasionally during baking, turning chicken and basting with pan juices. Serve warm with steamed rice and fresh vegetable or chill and serve cold with your favorite picnic salad. |
