THREE CHEESE LASAGNE | |
1 lb. ground beef 1 clove garlic 1 tbsp. whole basil Pinch of salt 1 lb. can tomatoes 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste 10 oz. lasagne noodles 2 eggs 3 c. cottage cheese 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese 1 lb. mozzarella Brown meat slowly, spoon off excess fat. Add next 5 ingredients with 1 cup of water. Simmer, covered for 15 minutes. Stir often. Cook noodles in boiling salted water until tender. Drain and rinse. Beat eggs. Add remaining ingredients, except mozzarella. Layer half the noodles in 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish. Spread with half the cottage cheese filling. Add half the mozzarella cheese and the half the meat sauce. Repeat. Bake at 375 degrees about 30 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes. Serves 8-10. |
