QUICK BEEF PIE | |
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef 1 med. onion, finely chopped 1/2 tsp. salt 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed tomato soup 1 (16 oz.) can cut green beans, drained 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 1/2 c. seasoned mashed potatoes 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese 1. In a 10 inch glass dish, crumble beef. Add onion and salt; cook 6 to 7 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking time, until browned. Drain off excess drippings. 2. Add soup, green beans, and pepper to meat mixture. Cook 3 to 4 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking time. 3. Press meat mixture into dish. Drop potatoes in mounds around edge of hot mixture, and sprinkle with cheese. 4. Cook 3 to 4 minutes, rotating dish one-quarter turn halfway through cooking time. 5. Rest 5 minutes before serving. 5 or 6 servings. |
