LEISHA'S ITALIAN EGG WRAPS | |
1 (1 lb.) pkg. Italian sausage links, cut into strips sliced Mozzarella cheese, cut into strips 1 (16 oz.) pkg. egg roll or wonton wraps (Twin Dragon or Nasoya) 3 egg whites vegetable or canola oil, for frying Heat enough oil in frying pan to cover the sausage and cheese wraps while frying. Separate egg whites and place in a bowl. Take sausage links and cut each one into 4 long strips. Open package of egg wraps and place a sausage strip on it. Take a slice of cheese and place with the sausage strip. Wet the edge of the wrap with egg white and completely wrap, making sure there are no holes for cheese to leak out while frying. Fry 1 to 3 at a time until they are golden brown and begin floating. Remove using tongs and place on a dish with paper towels to absorb the oil. Serve hot with Marinara for dipping sauce.
