SUPPER ON A BREAD SLICE 
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. cracker crumbs (soda crackers)
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. onion, chopped
1 tbsp. mustard
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. accent
2 c. cheese, grated
1 loaf French bread

Combine all ingredients except bread. Cut loaf of bread in half lengthwise. Spread meat mixture evenly over top surface of bread. Wrap aluminum foil around crust side of each half, leaving top uncovered. Place on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Garnish with strips of cheese. Bake 5 minutes longer. Cut slices diagonally to serve. Serves 6 to 8.
