“COUNTRY FRIED STEAK” IS IN:

COUNTRY FRIED STEAK 
2 lb. round steak, chopped into 8 even pieces
2 cups milk
2 eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. onion powder
pinch of salt
pinch of pepper
pinch of dried basil
pinch of dried parsley
2 cups olive oil

Mix milk and eggs in a bowl, set aside.

Mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, dried basil and dried parsley. Set aside.

Heat oil in a strong skillet. Dip chicken in egg mixture then flour mixture then fry the skillet.

To make the gravy: Add 3 tablespoons of the cooking oil and seasoned flour to make a roux. Whisk this together.

Serve gravy over steak.
