MOCK COUNTRY FRIED STEAK | |
1 egg, beaten 1/4 c. milk 1 c. coarsely chopped saltines 2 c. finely chopped onion 1 tsp. chili powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 lb. raw ground beef Cooking oil Mix egg, milk, 1/2 cup saltines, onion, chili powder, salt and Worcestershire sauce together. Add beef and mix well. Shape into 6 patties about 1/2 inch thick. Coat each with remaining cracker crumbs. In a heavy skillet cook the patties in 1/2 inch hot oil over medium heat, about 8 minutes on each side. Drain on paper before serving. |
