1 3/4 c. flour, sifted
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. shortening, softened
1 egg
1/4 c. corn syrup
2 (1 oz.) pkgs. Nestle's liquid chocolate

In a large bowl, sift together flour, soda, cinnamon, and salt; set aside. Combine sugar, shortening, and egg; beat until creamy. Stir in corn syrup and chocolate. Add dry ingredients to this mixture and mix well. Shape dough into small balls and roll in sugar. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in a 350 degree oven for about 12 minutes.
