3/4 c. evaporated milk 2 1/4 c. sugar 12 oz. chocolate chips 1/3 c. Karo syrup 2 tbsp. butter 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. chopped nuts Combine milk and sugar in heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture boils. Turn heat low, cook 10 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent scorching. Remove from heat, immediately add chocolate chips, Karo syrup, butter and vanilla. Stir until chocolate melts and fudge is smooth and creamy. stir in nuts; mix well. Pour into 8"x8" pan and chill in refrigerator 1 to 2 hours. Cut into squares. Makes 2 1/2 pounds. |
