2 1/2 c. plain yogurt
3/4 c. fresh fruit
1/4 - 1/2 c. sugar
In a blender or food processor, puree washed, peeled, pitted or hulled fruit with sugar. Pour mixture into ice cream machine, add yogurt and follow manufacturer's instructions for processor. Yields 1 quart. If your machine has a 2 quart capacity, double the amount of yogurt and fruit, but taste before increasing the amount of sugar. Can use strawberries, bananas, peaches, pineapples, cherries or apricots. Can be easily increased to serve more people. Approximately 190 calories per cup, sometimes less, depending on what fruits you use. One cup of ice cream contains approximately 255 calories.
