RUSSIAN TEA CAKES | |
1 c. soft butter 1/2 c. sifted confectioners' sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 2 1/2 c. flour 1/4 tsp. salt 3/4 c. finely chopped nuts Mix butter, sugar, and vanilla together. Stir in the flour, salt, and nuts. Chill dough. Roll into 1 inch balls. Place balls 2 1/2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until set but not brown. While still warm, roll in confectioners' sugar. Cool, and roll in sugar again. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes approximately 4 dozen cookies. |
