CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
8 oz butter (2 sticks)
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 1/2 cups sifted flour
12 oz. chocolate chips (semi-sweet chocolate)

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Beat together butter, eggs, vanilla, brown sugar, and sugar. Add dry ingredients. Mix well until smooth. Add chocolate chips.

Drop dough by teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
