2 1/2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. applesauce
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. shortening, softened
1 lg. or 2 med. eggs
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 c. raisins

Beat sugar and shortening until light. Sift dry ingredients together. Add applesauce and eggs. Blend all ingredients together. Add raisins. Bake in 350 degree oven in oblong pan for 45 to 50 minutes. Frost with cream cheese frosting.
