MINI DATE MUFFINS 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. chopped dates
1 c. sugar
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/4 c. chopped pecans

HARD SAUCE:

1 c. confectioners sugar
1/4 c. soft butter
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. For muffins, combine all ingredients in large mixing bowl. Stir just until all are moistened. Fill lightly greased muffin tins 2/3 full. Bake 15 minutes. Cool on wire rack. For hard sauce, combine all ingredients in medium bowl. Beat until smooth. Frost tops of muffins.
